This is the second part of the optimisation process and involves generating inbound links to your website from relevant, respectable websites and directories.
The list of websites and directories used for this purpose are generally unique to each individual website although there are many common directories which are also used.
There are two types of marketing used for this purpose; organic marketing and paid marketing. This area includes pay-per-click (such as Google adwords) and paid inclusion into certain directories.
At lefthand Marketing we aim to use only organic marketing techniques but sometimes other methods can be more cost effective in the short term.
At Lefthand Marketing we offer two packages. The first is a "one-off" deal where we agree a schedule of work to be carried out on your website. The work is completed, we invoice you and our arrangement finishes. The second option is a marketing contract taken out with us whereby we agree to optimise and market your website on a regular basis over a twelve month period. This is done on an hourly rate so the contract would be a minimum of twenty hours (you could have as many as you like, to be discussed and agreed by Lefthand Marketing).
For new customers anything up to fifty percent of the agreed hours would be used in the first instance to optimise your website. The rest of the hours would then be evenly distributed over the remaining period. This is a useful approach for the client because the site is continually being "tweaked" inline with the latest techniques and of course Lefthand Marketing are then available to make any changes to your website virtually at any time during that contract period.
Your business may also be able to get partial funding for a site redesign or search engine optimisation. To qualify your business must be based in Cornwall. Contact www.actnowcornwall.co.uk/ for further details and an application form.
